

Mark served for 19 years as the Chief Human Resource Officer for Adams 12 Five Star Schools. He spent thirty-four years in the area of public sector Human Resource Management and has presented numerous human resource workshops and programs at national conferences. Mark currently serves as an officer on the Board of Directors for Horizon's North Credit Union.

Mark volunteered for many years with the Miss Florida program at the local and state level in the 80's and 90's. He served as an Executive Director for Miss Winter Park, whose 1992 winner, Leanza Cornett, became Florida's first Miss America. Mark has attended Miss America every year since 1989 and has judged numerous local and state competitions.

While in Florida he served as President of the Central Florida Human Resource Association and Conference Chair for HR Florida, an annual state conference. He was Director of Employment Services for Orange County Public Schools, the 11th largest district in the country. He also served on the School to Work and Labor Relations national expertise panels on behalf of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Mark received a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Speech Communication and a Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling, both from the University of Central Florida. Mark is recently retired and lives in Boulder with his partner Tom and their Terriers Roger and Edith, where he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, taking advantage of Colorado's 300+ days of sunshine.
